Strength Training Program at Yin Yang Yoga Loft is specifically designed to add healthy muscle to your body and address the issues of fat gain, loss of muscle mass, and lack of bone density in people over 40. Muscle is an active, calorie-burning, tissue that helps keep your metabolism going. The reason why many people in the 40+ age group are gaining weight, while eating the same quantity of food, is that they’ve lost some lean muscle mass due to a more sedentary and inactive lifestyle. The Strength Training 101 Program will consist of exercises utilizing your own body weight as well as various props, such as dumbbells, barbell and a cable machine .

Private or Semi-Private Sessions
In order to teach proper resistance training techniques and monitor the safety of each exercise, Strength Training 101 is offered in either private or semi-private sessions, allowing the trainer to provide the necessary personal attention, make sure exercises are performed properly, and correct the technique if needed.
Designing Your Personal Program
Your personal trainer will design a customized training program based on your level and needs. Your training program will consist of varying workout combinations, incorporating various exercises and props, in order to properly exercise each major muscle group. Starting with a warm up, you will continue to work on your lower body, followed by the upper body and, finally, the core. We will also work on specific exercises to help rehabilitate past injuries.
Monitoring Your Progress
We will show you how to track your progress by setting up a training log to mark down exercises, sets, reps and weights lifted. This gives trainees the ability to stay aware of their progress and set training goals going forward.
